From Olbia airport to our properties: all the available options explained clearly, without any unnecessary information.

Siniscola is not complicated to reach, but it does require a little planning — especially if you’re coming from abroad and don’t know Sardinia. This guide gives you everything you need to arrive at our properties without any surprises.

First things first: the right airport

Sardinia has three airports: Olbia (north-east), Cagliari (south) and Alghero (north-west). To reach La Caletta and Capo Comino, Olbia airport is the right choice — it’s about 50 minutes by car. Cagliari is nearly three hours away, Alghero around two and a half.

From Northern Europe there are direct flights to Olbia from many cities: Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Frankfurt, Zurich. In summer the frequency of flights increases considerably — search on Google Flights or Skyscanner well in advance to find the best fares.

  • Olbia airport → 50 minutes (recommended)
  • Alghero airport → 2h30
  • Cagliari airport → 3h

How to get there

Car rental — the recommended option The most convenient and flexible way to reach La Caletta and Capo Comino is to rent a car directly at Olbia airport. All the main companies are represented there. The route is straightforward: take the SS131dcn towards Nuoro, exit at Posada and follow the signs for La Caletta or Capo Comino.

A car is practically essential during your stay too, to reach the most beautiful beaches such as Berchida and Bidderosa. The only exception is Relax Home in La Caletta, which is within walking distance of the sea and local amenities.

Pros: maximum flexibility, ideal for families, useful on the ground too. Cons: extra cost, must be booked in advance.

ARST bus — the budget option ARST runs regional public transport in Sardinia. There is a connection between Olbia and Siniscola, but services are infrequent and journey times are longer than by car. It’s not the ideal choice for families with luggage or young children, but it works for those who prefer not to drive.

Check the up-to-date timetables directly on the ARST website before you leave — summer schedules differ from the rest of the year.

Pros: affordable, no driving stress. Cons: limited frequency, inflexible on the ground, not ideal with children.

Private transfer — maximum comfort Several private transfer services operate from Olbia airport to the Siniscola coast. It must be booked in advance and costs more than a rental car, but it’s the ideal solution for those arriving late, with a lot of luggage or with young children who don’t want to worry about anything.

Get in touch: we can recommend contacts for reliable services we know personally.

Pros: door to door, no stress, ideal for evening arrivals. Cons: the most expensive option, must be booked in advance.

Arriving by ferry

If you prefer the ferry, the nearest ports are Olbia and Golfo Aranci. From Olbia port, La Caletta is about 50 minutes by car — the same route as from the airport. From Golfo Aranci it’s around 60 minutes.

The main companies operating to Olbia are Moby Lines, Grimaldi and GNV. In summer the ferries fill up: book weeks in advance, especially if you’re travelling with a car.

If you have any doubts about the route or the journey, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Helping guests arrive without any stress is part of what we do.
